"The GAO says the damage included 62 missing computer keyboards, 26 cell phones, two cameras, ten antique doorknobs and several presidential medallions and office signs."

Wow, you mean over an 8 year period the ten thousand or so people who work for the executive of our country lost 26 cell phones and two cameras? Unbelievable. Oh, and how many of those 62 keyboards lost over an 8 year period were just people spilling coffee on the keyboard and then tossing it out because it only cost $10 for a new one? All in all even your attempt to hold on to the lie that "OMG CLINTON TRASHED THE WHITE HOUSE!!!11!" doesn't measure up. It's all just garbage lies spewed by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

ten antique doorknobs and several presidential medallions and office signs. The damage estimate was about $20,000. I'll admit i found the copier joke funny.

How many doorknobs are missing from your house after all the years you've lived there. I guess presidential medallions wear out too. STOLEN counts as vandalized. I said the claims were a little exagerated but where I come from $20,000 isn't chump change. But I guess you don't mind since it was taxpayer money.

Since independent studies have shown that Gore did win the count, I can understand why people are still upset. Especially considering how much damage has been done to the country over the past 8 years.
Gore also conceded the night of the election. I really don't see the issue. You concede, you lose.

Once again, BK shows his fundamental misunderstanding of democracy. The election and the government belong to the people of the United States, not the candidates. It is not their election to concede or not. Also keep in mind that on the night of the election, Gore was almost certainly unaware of the level of election fraud that had taken place in Florida, as it took a few weeks for Greg Palast to uncover what had happened.

Americans have a right to still be upset about the 2000 coup d'etat. Our election and government were stolen. The GOP is still *****ing about the 1960 election, nearly 50 years after the fact, with a heck of a lot less evidence to support their claims. I think those of us who care about the democratic process can still be upset about something which happened 8 years ago.

That's why I didn't want to win my election.

Actually they weren't. Those polls after the fact Verto was refering to do show Gore would have won a state wide recount but the problem was Gore wasn't asking for that. He wasn't even asking for the method the study says would have allowed him to pull ahead in the vote count. He was trying to cherry pick counties and methods he believed would have allowed him to win but which the evidence says couldn't have allowed him to win.

50,000 people, overwhelmingly Black, were illegally stricken from the roles. That was deliberate on the part of Kate Harris and it changed the election. Gore's mistakes don't change the fact that the election and the government were stolen from THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

That's the thing of it. Inaugurals are uniformly dreadful affairs. Doesn't matter whether your guy is in or not.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. He would have won based on the metric prescribed by Florida law, as well as by what Bush requested.

Sure, make light of election fraud, race discrimination and disfranchisement if that makes you feel better Slowwy.
