Actually I thought it was funny then too, but once I mention that, I lose the moral high ground

Both parties are ridiculous in the way they respond to one another. If you can't laugh at it, you end up like Sloww.

Slow is kind of right. When Clinton was leaving office a lot of Dems were leaving town for the same reason. Nothing to laugh at and no one made fun of them. But I guess the liberal media feels its funnier when the repugs are the ones leaving. Different strokes for different strokes.
Democrat or Republican; I would find it funny regardless. Hell, even some Republicans themselves quoted in the article seem to have a little sense of humor about this. Like the Republican in the article who says he's going to have thoughtful conversation about his party with "Jack Daniels."
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

(The quote function, like so much of this "upgrade", isn't working so I'll just say I'm responding to Rah's claim that Clinton people "trashed the White House".)

Rah, I know it is hard to keep up with current events but it has been 7.5 years so you should know this by now. The claims by Republican pundits that "Clinton trashed the White House" has been proven to be a lie made up almost completely whole hog. Here's an article by Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR):

It's you. I've used the quote function. Why, by gosh! I've used it again.

I agree that it's kinda of funny regardless, but have to admit that there seems to be a bit more of the "TAKE THAT" attitude than I remember 8 years ago. But maybe it's just because I'm older now. The repugs were a little more gracious in the victory. It seems like the Dems are trying to rub it in a bit more. But again, just my perception.

IIRC, in the 2000 election, didn't many Republicans ridicule Democrats for being angry with the confused, disputed election results? The Republicans were certainly not gracious in that victory if that was the case.

And no, the Democrats were not being sore losers in 2000; the botched election results and the necessity of having the Supreme Court settle this confused matter were all legitimate sources of anger and grievance. For Republicans to simply ridicule such concerns was not of the nature of being gracious in victory.

Democrats still ***** about the 'stolen' election, 8 years later.

I still find the Sore/Loserman signs hilarious, even though I would have voted for Gore back in 2000.

Since independent studies have shown that Gore did win the count, I can understand why people are still upset. Especially considering how much damage has been done to the country over the past 8 years.
