He was ordered to withdraw by the UN, but defied them.

Canada is actually famous worldwide for its efforts to prevent genocide and help the victims in Rwanda, if you knew **** all about anything.

    • He's definitely a hero, as are many individuals under certain circumstance. That in no way, means that your government has honorable intentions in war.

        You're so ****ing clueless.

What was the purpose of Canada's peacekeeping operations worldwide -- something Canada is again very famous for and actually pioneered -- if not honourable?

You cannot seriously be accusing Canada's peacekeepers as trying to exert Canadian power over these war-torn countries?

Your ****ing cluelessness is offensive enough, but you top it off with your insensitive, ill-informed trolls that aim to diminish the accomplishments and integrity of people who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

Obviously, anyone looking at it objectively, would say that it's just for show, so that tools like you can try to convince people that your government is heroic.

            • Fact - They didn't send enough soldiers to stop what was happening.

Fact - They ordered what they did have there to retreat.

Don't let facts disrupt your little fantasy world there Asher.

The UN did. UN != Canada.

Rwanda is *FAR* from the only country Canada was a peacekeeper in.

                • Bull**** Asher. You are in the UN. The US and the UK are your #! and #2 allies. There's nothing ****ing special about Canada besides there are relatively weaker than other powers. You're a whole ****ing country full of tools.

No matter what facts are presented to you, they can't seem to penetrate your thick skull.

As for War of 1812 - I thought United States wanted to remain neutral and trade with both, Great Britain and France even while they were at war with one another.

This example is not contradictory with my World War I example of heroic war effort as in World War I, Germany was violating freedom of seas with its unrestricted submarine warfare.

And back to War of 1812 - how about them British forts in northwestern UNITED STATES territory?
Yeah, we tried turning to the offense during the war to invade Canada but we were definitely provoked into declaring war.

How the hell do you figure that fighting a war for trade is heroic?

Those forts were in disputed territory.
