IDK, there are a few Supreme Court Justices that will probably retire in the next four years.

        Thus you prove my point!

edit: Furthermore, your state can popularly elect a third party , even by a 100% vote, but the electoral votes can still go to a Democrat or Republican simply because your states ruling officials decide that you guys suck donkey balls. The system by which our nation is run a giant farce, nobody's vote actually counts for ****.

Despite the controversy, even with 2 seats changing, I do not think the supreme court would change abortion.... and if they did, the legislature would pass a new law, or amend the constitution.

This country is set on abortion.

Haha, this is beyond pathetic. Let's see... There's a strong chance we're facing systemic economic depression in the future, our economy has been **** for years, Iraq and Afghanistan are still raging on with little to no progress, the government has been failed with responding timely to Katrina, we're up to 11 trillion dollars in debt, and there are innumerable scandals in all branches of government. Yet there are still single issue voters who make their decisions on abortion and whether f*gs will get married.

Is it not obvious? Those wallstreet crooks and the Republicans who empowered them and those towel head terrorists are actually commy pinko liberal democrats!

Let's not forget to make note of the Taliban taking over the biggest city in Pakistan.

I don't make alot of buds among the ultra left due to my pro life convictions, but then I don't hold my beliefs to make friends. That said, if someone who believes differently from me doesn't use those differences to build hate, I'll be their friend no problem.

I don't give a **** about the Taliban, or any other terrorist organization in the world at this very moment. Nor will I care until my vote actually means something. Or at least until I am told I live under a system of government that is clearly not a democracy.

**** I'm sobering up and at this point I'll settle for Palin dropping out and stop smearing the name of Alaskans.

She moved to Alaska as an infant and still has that inbred midwest accent (and ideals to go with it). Now everyone it going to think Alaskans talk like that.

For the record the "Alaskan accent" is the same accent you will find on your local indian reservation, slow, ponderous, and deep. Beats the hell out of pseudocanadian accents any day.

                      Space, I was joking.

I've been more concerned about domestic policy over foreign policy, since we invaded Afghanistan.

It's not so bad being independent in this country. That way you get to laugh at both D's and R's... without any chance that you'll feel personally offended by the association... and they both offer up lots of laughs.

You can also just skip most elections and instead have a nice relaxing day doing something other than standing in line to vote for someone who has no chance of being elected. (If anyone you'd vote for is actually on the ballot in the first place.)

You also have the added benefit of not soiling yourself by participating in the political "system".

Hell, I haven't voted in years.

all you independent non voters suck ... go out there and vote for that third loser, and next election perhaps he will be seen as someone who has a chance... no vote for third party is a wasted vote especiually now with "teh internets" all you disenfranchised could regroup and vote for Ron Paul or whomever next... instead of a "relaxing day" out contributing to the future monarchy... have a relaxing day the following weekend
