I watched a video today of helmetless Russian "soldiers" in tank tops shooting their AKs wildly from the hips. If nothing else this conflict has proven just how pathetic Russia's military is.

Georgian soldiers did not follow the cease-fire with South Ossetia asked for by Saakashvili, so Russia is going to bide its time, until the conditions of Medvedev's cease-fire order are met.

I doubt its really over. This was done to slow the down the west while we wait and see and Russia finishes the job claiming Georgian aggression.

In this case Russia may consider to stop to supply the West with energy and to arm Syria and Iran to their teeth. So the West better behaves reasonably. And badly they need the World bank . They're bathing in money.

Good lord! I can't believe the cavalier attitude some of you are displaying here! This is the greatest catastrophe mankind has ever known! If the US doesn't immediately mobilize 200 million men into Georgia and nuke every last thing in Russia (which they're honor bound to do through iron clad treaties), Russia will conquer the world and suck the life force from the brains of puppy dogs!
