I'm shocked that this mentally deficient thread has gotten this many responses. As for the proposal, it's bull****, but at least it's not obscenely counterproductive to our long term interests like McCain's proposals such as the gas tax holiday.

IMHO, Imran did an excellent job of ridiculing it early on:

Barack Hussein Mugabe Amin Pot Stalin Obama?

Well, I was attracted here but saw an opinion had been formed so in clear conscience, chose not to share the mirror

Seriously, many threads here fit this description, unless of course you agree with the masses then it is apparently ok..or your Asher who smokes most everyone here

Regarding the thread title, do you try to be stupid or does it come naturally to you? I mean really.

I even just saw a poll that showed McCain in the lead (not that I believed it but what the heck)
I agree McCain is picking up steam though that is mostly because he's currently blowing his bankroll on attack ads. He's actually gotten with in three points in the national vote though, for once, Democrats are doing something smart and are targeting current spending at key states in order to maintain a decisive lead in the states which give Obama the electoral win. Obama's campaign strategy seems to be spending as little possible right now and letting McCain spend as much of his limited funds as possible so that they can really unload on him closer to the election.

In terms of the best poll weighting, and statical mathematics fivethirtyeight.com is the site to beat. It's telling that although McCain is with in 3 points by the national vote Obama has a 76.8 electoral vote lead. They're really spending their money smart and conserving it until closer to the actual election when Obama should have about a 2:1 advantage in money.

Honestly that McCain is blowing so much of his cash on hand so many months out is really a sign of desperation. It means he knows he's way behind and he needs to start making a big move now before everyone gives up on him.

Somehow I doubt the RNC will ever run out of money.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

It might if there isn't enough support in the party itself for McCain.

On the other hand, his flip-flopping on off-shore drilling has netted him $1,000,000 in contributions from the oil industry.

Hell I'm shocked this stupid "windfall profits" tax hasn't gotten Obama money from OPEC.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Please explain. I view OPEC and oil companies as being in bed together. Why would OPEC wish bad things to happen to oil companies?
