Wonderful pics NetNet! So glad to hear you are feeling better.
Sho is doing some great work.
Can you ask him when the windows can go in and the big aluminum roll up overhead door?
I guess he'll need money for that, can he find out how much money please?
We are going to send some paint color charts too.
Its going to look good with some color.

I've been playing with 'Paint' (the pc tweedle that is part of accessories) but my efforts look like a two year olds efforts to color within the lines.
Also the colors they offer in 'Paint' don't match the colors we chose. I want to communicate to them which surfaces we want what color and it may be tough. I might just label the paint color dealies that we got at our local home store with 1,2, and 3 and write the numbers on the pics they sent us with each number corrosponding to a color or shade.
The problem there is its all imagination for us here, we can't see the finished building until its painted and they send us pics.
It does look very grey now. I remember a trip to the Phils when the house in Pondol looked like a prison because it wasn't painted or even finished. You could look from the downstairs all the way to the metal roof, no second floor but the joists. We had two guests from the US, one an aerospace engineer and the other an aerospace machineist. We found a nice gal for the engineer but the machineist chose a bad one, and we told him so too. The engineer and his filipina wife are living happily in Arizona.
Sho and I laid the 3/4 ply on the joists that trip, I was sweating rivers. When we got done, it looked like a two story prison. Then we bought a bunch of studs and marine plywood (it isn't really marine) and built the upstairs rooms that you are familiar with Zkrib. Even built the hollow core doors ourselves. Then it looked like a prison with cells. We didn't get to see it painted until the next trip.
So, we're used to the process.
We intend to use some ceramic tile on the exterior surfaces but are not sure which. Also the interior floor will have ceramic tile.Last edited by Lancer; September 9, 2008, 23:46.Long time member @ Apolyton

I agree. I've imagined the Pondol house without the paint (or trim) and it's dreary. With the paint, awnings, etc., it's lovely.
I'm sure I've commented to you that, in L.A., a house like that would go for $500,000 or more. (
Maybe you should ship it over here and sell it!)

Oh yeah. Without paint, the place looks a little Gulag Archipelogoish.
The paint is going to make a world of difference!
