actually no on Hillary. She shall be vested with executive power, but the sentence with gender injected into it was the term limit sentence. But on the plus side we don't have to pay her.

So that means if we elect Hillary, we elect a president-for-life

Poll places McCain ahead of both Democratic candidates
        Thu, 28 Feb 2008 06:03a.m.

A new poll in the United States should rattle both the Democratic candidates for the White House, Clinton and Obama.

It shows the likely Republican nominee, John McCain, would beat either of them, if the election was held now.

The Bloomberg/Los Angeles Times poll gave McCain 44 percent against Obama's 42 percent.

And he scored 46 to 40 against Hillary Clinton.

But McCain's had his own campaign embarrassment when a conservative host introduced him to a rally in Ohio - referring to Barack Hussein Obama, emphasising the senator's middle name.
I don't really see the point of being ashamed of his own name.

You obviously didn't see the episode where Laverne let slip that Shirley's middle name is Wilaminia.

Shouldn't Obama be more angry at his parents then?

BTW, it was reporters who asked McCain about it that brought about McCain's condemnation. AFAIK, Obama didn't say anything.

Shouldn't McCain have directed questions about Obama's name to Obama's parents if they are still alive then?

McCain's reaction is not to people mentioning Obama's middle name, it is to the cause behind it. The only reason to emphasis or even really mention it at all, is to make Obama sound foreign, unAmerican, and to superficially link him to Saddam Hussein. And that motive definitely is A) the sort of thing we'll see more of from the right and B) despicable. I thought that McCain's reaction was very classy.

So it isn't the man's name? Because then I could understand the kneejerk reaction to think of it as a slur otherwise it seems like a bit of a stretch to think mentioning the man's name paints him as being unamerican.

                    • One wonders if he used McCain's middle name.

So you think McCain has kneejerk reactions because of his comments following Cunningham's remarks?

It actually was. for what ever his other faults the guy doesn't fall for the race baiting that's so popular on talk radio. Maybe because he's so often the target of those thugs or maybe because McCain really does have character. Either way.

                              • Perhaps you could explain why you feel one's own name might paint him as being unamerican were it to be spoken aloud. It's not as if his middle name is "I Hitler" or something like that.
