No, but they tend to notice than western writers don’t put in references like that.without a reason.

BTW Which is the current year? Rat?

I thought that was a touch strange too, Come on, they'd get their 15 minutes of fame then asta.

Unless the story of how 8 became 6 was really fantastic, but then 30 minutes of fame and a letterman appearence.

It may be because of the settlement they all got, but even that wouldn't translate to ultra famous.

Well, not to mention that their plane supposedly went down far from land and they just appear out of the blue months later.

                      • btw, try this as a test: go to someone who hasnt seen Lost and try to tell him/her what goes on on the island. smokey, polar bears, secret experiments, buttons, etc. measure how long it takes to hear the phrase "you know, that's really silly"

                          Do you mean Sun?
If he get's Jin, that would be a real story.

                          I don't know about that.
In one flashforward Jack seems him in the looney bin.
In one flashforward he's with Sun in the Graveyard but they don't appear to be a couple.

Still who's in the casked in Jacks FF. Ben?

                          • I think it's clear that the flashforwards have been presented in reverse order.

Jack's takes place the furthest into the future. (He's gone bat**** crazy and suicidal.)
Then, Hurley's. (A normal Jack says, "I'm thinking about growing a beard." "You'd look weird with a beard, dude.")
Then, Kate's. (Jack is still normal in this; Aaron is appx. 2 years old, while on-island he's appx. 3 months old.)
                            Then, Sun's. (On-island, appx. 2-3 months pregnant.)

Sayid's could fit anywhere on this timeline as there is nothing else to ground it as with the others, but I think it is fair to guess that the pattern holds, and his flashforward took place after Kate's trial but before Hurley's institutionalization.

                            • I read on one of the sites that in an interview one of the head honchos said that the FFs were shown in order. So unless it's reverse order like you said, it's either a lie/misdirection or just really screwy.

                              • Got to agree with Guynemer, I think they are in reverse order or no order at all.
