OTOH i happened to completely and embarassingly RUIN my civ-game i posted in Civ General by overexpanding and too big a military to fight the barbs. Also whipped too much. My economy shattered. ON TOP OF an event which destroyed my gold mine.
I'll share with you my post from Standup's thread 'Not doing so well at Noble'...
If you're "Not doing so well at Noble" I suggest you do what I do, lose. Losing is easy or hard, it all depends on what you make it. You can try like crazy, debate in your mind every small decision, focus all your energy, your very being bent upon the most minute item, and then lose. Alternately you can get a bottle of your favorite beverage, sing songs to the wolf god, care not for the fury of your enemy, build that wierd assed building your advisor tells you to build, dance nekked to momba drums in you living room, and then lose.
It's really up to you. Find the way to lose that fits you best.
Hope that helps AAHZ.

Nah, I believe you. I did something like to that game where UFO's come to Earth and you have to take an elite team out to battle them without killing too many humans in the process. After a while your team would get upgraded, and you would really try not to get them killed. Then the aliens would get a guy that could mind control your people, and then all of a sudden one of your own guys would start gunning down your squad! I hated that. That's as frustrated as I've ever gotten at a game. I tossed it with a 'good ridance!'

End of February or beginning March the Poly House pics will start. At first I'd expect nothing more than a few guys moving materials, but then maybe some rebar and cement post, a few block set...then we're outa here and back to Oregon to work. Then in January we'll come back God willing and have alot more to show, lots of pics. Maybe Zkrib will be with us, he takes much better pics than I do.

I'm going to see if I can meet with my supervisor tomorrow and ask what the chances are for getting time off next January. That's our busy month, but I'll see.
If I can't make it over in January, I'll come in February. No one in their right mind wants to take time off from work in February, so it should be a breeze.
Excellent! Good month to go tropical. Quiet here too which is nice.
Got some GREAT NEWS. Iking, Mente's brother is from Mabini and is now working on our ocean place. He knows a really good place to get hollow block IN MABINI that uses quality sand from Gundleman (sp) which is on the ocean. Not sure the price but believes it's still 9P.
That's not all...
The electric line in the street is on the Poly house side. Very short run for the wire which is pricey everywhere.
No wait, more...
There is no water in the street at all, but it's in the plans for sometime next year. Until then there is a hand pump nearby (I stand corrected) and they can haul buckets.
There was something else good too, I can't remember.
Oh yeah, they figure on uncluding a small bedroom or two. We'll see. The resolving of the hollow block dilemma makes much possible.
Stay tuned to this thread for a few pics I took today of the little local hollow block factory I get my block from.
