I told them you would be visiting one day and they were all smiles.

I told them also that they might get alot of visitors from all over the world in the years to come and they thought that was just the coolest thing.

So Lancer, how much in USD would it cost my GF and I to fly out to the Phils for a week, if I wanted to fly not in luxury, but in enough comfort that I didn't jump out of the plane in agony/boredom/discomfort?

Check out the Philippines Airlines website. It's the only airline that can fly you directly into Tagbalarian, which is the main city on Bohol, not to far from where Lancer lives.

It may be somewhat cheaper to fly a different airline (China Air; Malaysian Airlines) into Cebu and then take the jet boat across the Cebu Sea to Bohol. IIRC a ticket for the jet boat (which is not jet powered ) is about $20/person. [Is that right, Lancer??]
