This type of far-left politically-correct bizarreness extends far beyond the U of D.
I recently read some letters to the editor of a well respected scientific journal. Each letter attacked the authors of a report in that journal that re-affirmed that African Americans were more at risk for premature delivery than Caucasians (despite every statistical effort to normalize for the known socioeconomic variables). The authors were racist to submit such a report since race "is a socioeconomic construct".
Yeah, genes are a socioeconomic construct. I'm currently writing a paper that indicates that the carriage of certain microorganisms is influenced by race and the presence of those organisms and bacterial opportunism may account for higher disease prevalence in that African Americans. I cant wait for the backlash.
