Sharon Martinas sounds like who your quoting from based on a quick Google search, Cali. If she has anything to do with the University, I don't know.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Skimming those papers, it seems a far, far more nuanced argument than the OP article's "summation". In many parts saying how whites can realize the priviledged situtation they are in.

The quote in my OP is from a pdf of a document with Dr. Shakti Butler's name on it.

It basically says that everything in the U.S. is racist, racist, racist racist, racist...is it so hard to believe that someone who writes this tripe would also write that all whites in the U.S. are racist?

OK, that's better. I was struck by the weirdness as you were, so I did do my research before I made my original comment. It was limited, however, to a few minutes and a trio of search engines.

Looks like the official UofD residence is really into that social engineering thing. Still no big stir from any other groups. Can't even find a UofD response. Why are there no student groups protesting?

Not really upset myself as I have heard it all before. I'm a racist because I'm white; I'm a rapist because I'm male; I'm an imperialist because I was born in the West.

Butler is not the only idiot who completely misses their own hypocritical prejudice.

So since you are willing to make that leap of faith, that means that the Dr. is? And looking back at the US's history, there are a TON of things about it that were and still are highly racist. Remember, it's less than 50 years since Jim Crow was abolished by the Civil Rights Act of '64.

The sad part is that this is being forced on impressionable young minds. Nothing like being told that your racial group is morally inferior to get you started off in life.

You really have to read and understand the writings I linked you to if you want to see how they essentially say the same thing as the pdf on FIRE.

I've skimmed them and I know what they say. Just because right wing fire breathers want it to say something else doesn't make it so. Are there people that say all whites are racist? Yes... do these? No, not really. It does speak of inherent racism that is still within white culture, but I'm not aware that that is all that controversial.

Another amusing quote from the same document I linked: "I use 'white supremacy' as a synonym for racism."

"REVERSE RACISM: A term created and used by white people to deny their white privilege. Those in denial use the term reverse racism to refer to hostile behavior by people of color towards whits, and to affirmative action policies, which allegedly give 'preferential treatment' to people of color over whites. In the U.S., there is no such thing as 'reverse racism'."

"A NON-RACIST: A non-term. The term was created by whites to deny responsibility for systematic racism, to maintain an aura of innocence in the face of racial oppression, and to shift responsibility for that oppression from whites to people of color (called 'blaming the victim'). Responsibility for perpetuating and legitimizing a racist system rests both on those who actively maintain it, and on those who refuse to challenge it. Silence is consent."
