Why didn't you care? I mean I perfectly understand bull****ting about what you really think to get 'the paper', I did it all the time, but that didn't mean I didn't care. I absolutely HATED being forced to toe the modern academic Marxist line in political science, philosophy, history, heck even in geology it seeps in.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't do it for my own academic interests but it was an anti-freedom, anti-self expression environment that just made me sick sometimes.

I really think that the one-sidedness of certain disciplines drives large numbers of students who might otherwise be interested in studying them away (ignoring the fact that modern universities seem to contain large numbers of people who really are not qualified to be there, and if it wasn't for the relentless forces of grade inflation would've been content with a HS diploma in an earlier age). I don't mean that they don't take these courses, but they just take them because it's easy, it's easy to parrot 'social history' etc back, but the kids DON'T by and large take these courses because of a genuine passion for the discipline, for our national heritage, or to challenge the dominant paradigms.

Nothing has been found factually wrong with the FIRE article, despite the best efforts of some here. In fact, the opposite is the case, the facts are correct and you are just taking issue with the language used to describe it.

So until we have a reason to doubt this now verified source, there is no reason to doubt it. Feel free to provide a reason

If they actually did hand those out, it'd be utterly retarded. As you said, it has problems passing the "smell test". And I'm positive that we'd have far more news on it than just one organization. And the only thing that was on UDel's site (from the same person listed) seemed much tamer.
