  • The final Cylon is the one thing that bugs me about this episode. Three knows who it is. So the humans basically get friendly with the Cylons, go to Earth together, find our about the Final Four, etc etc., but nobody asks the Three who the final Cylon is?

The director has said it isn't Starbuck and I don't think it is President Roselin since being injected with Cylon cells saved her life in season 2.

      • I was kind of trying to avoid appeals to what Ron Moore said, Oerdin... because it is a spoiler.

        Speculation otherwise is ok, IMO.

Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

              • Well, D'eanna said there were Four in the fleet - that could mean either that the fifth was physically in the Baseship when she said that (which leaves Roslin, Helo, or Baltar, the other characters not being big enough to matter), or they could be a character that has 'died' already, thus not in the fleet.

I think the best speculative tool is the prophecy of the first Hybrid from Razor:

"At last, they’ve come for me. I feel their lives, their destinies spilling out before me. The denial of the one true path, played out on a world not their own, will end soon enough. Soon there will be four, glorious in awakening, struggling with the knowledge of their true selves, the pain of revelation bringing new clarity, and in the midst of confusion, he will find her. Enemies brought together by impossible longing, enemies now joined as one. The way forward at once unthinkable, yet inevitable. And the fifth, still in shadow, will claw toward the light, hungering for redemption that will only come in the howl of terrible suffering. I can see them all. The seven, now six, self-described machines who believe themselves without sin, but in time, it is sin that will consume them. They will know enmity, bitterness, the wrenching agony of the one splintering into the many, and then they will join the promised land, gathered on the wings of an angel. Not an end, but a beginning."

                • Hybrid prophecies

I do need to go through them.

Though to add, from Ron Moore (producer):

                  Spoiler:
No one in "The Last Supper" picture is the final Cylon

Not just that; it'd ruin the series. Baltar is supposed to be humanity with all the warts. If the one big self-interested character (until recently) turns out to be a Cylon, it really ruins some of the realism of the human condition of the show. While people like Adama, Roslin, etc, are flawed heroes, they are still noble and heroic. Baltar is the other side of humanity, brilliant, but very self-interested... and yet in the end, has somewhat of a redemption.

                      • What if they find the last survivor on Earth (in the last episode of course) and she is the 5th? So what DaShi says
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
                        Once again...

                          • The final season starts tomorrow night!

Currently scifi.com has 10 new mini episodes up plus the series creaters have come up with a 20 minute video explaining what's happened to date and what their goals of the final season are so they drop a few vague hints. After watching the mini episodes I have to say things look interesting.
