Supposedly much of this season is going to deal with the Battlestar Pegasus, how it survived the cyclon attack and the events which lead up to its meeting with the Battlestar Galactica.

What? No. You are probably talking about the trailer for Razor, which is a film about the topic you're talking about. Season 4 is going to pick up right where season 3 ended.

In other news, the WGA strike is possibly going to really shaft the production of season 4, and the entire season might be postponed, at a worst scenario case it might be reduced to 13 episodes, and at the very worst scenario it's going to be axed entirely.

The WGA strike has screwed a lot of shows. That's why they did it now.

Err, not exactly. The Moore camp has said that the first ~13 scripts are already done and the first 10 episodes have even been filmed, so those can be aired without problems. Short of outright canceling the show 7 eps before the end without wrapping it up at all (which would be utterly retarded, though I guess with SciFi you never know) they really can't do much to shorten the season at this point. And since the LA Times said a few weeks ago that the season start isn't supposed to be until April anyway (which is a rumour but one that the Moores haven't contradicted for a change) the strike won't affect things unless it goes on for a really long time. Realistically the only thing that this strike will do is make the mid-season break longer (so if it goes on long enough those early rumours of a 2009 finale may just come true).

I hope things work out for the rest of the season but they're definately on for a Nov 24th go. The series did kind of jump the shark last year with the whole Starbuck being a Cylon and going to Earth subplot.

Again, Nov 24th is when the Razor film airs, and that one has been finished for a while now (it's even leaked to the Internet). There has been no confirmation as to when season 4 begins, but it's hopefully sometime in the spring.

There were five unknown cylons and they revealed 4 on the galactica and I assumed Starbuck was the fifth since she supposedly died and came back to life.
