As long as not gay. Don't forget the disclaimer.

So you mother, knowing your an atheist, would bury you according to her beliefs vice your own? Sounds selfish, sort of like after death conversions. Very shady.

I'd be dead. Why should I care how I'd be buried? The funeral would be for the living, not me.

I always thought the only unforgivable sin was blasphemy against the holy spirit. Apparantly in this church, homosexuality is an unforgivable sin as well.

I have no problem with religions thinking homosexuality is a sin, but I do have a problem with them judging this man and not giving him a proper burial. If I was in their church, I would laugh everytime the preacher recited something like:

Judge not, lest ye be judged.
Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
        Turn the other cheek.
Treat others as you would have them treat you.

Religious extremists are destroying our world, and they're not all Muslim.

Nobody said it was. Extreme is called extreme for a reason.

Why would you be in their church? You obviously don't share their beliefs.

There are no shortage of Christian churches with widely varied beliefs. Pick one more appropriate would be the sensible approach. That doesn't make headlines for a cause though does it?

There's nothing sensible about being a Christian, especially if you are gay.

Is this a joke. This is the first time that I've heard of gay pastors.

... and me fundie? Fundamentalist Commie maybe.

                              edit: I guess it's not a joke

Have you been asleep for a couple of years? Episcopals have a gay bishop. Theyre having a schism as a result, but most are sticking with the pro-gay side.
