You should have bombed down my cultural defence to 0% and that second city would have fallen, no doubt. But a CD3 C1 skirm forted in a city is defending at 8.4, that things is hard to kill.

I'm so behind the curve by now, I might as well wait for Civ 5 or 6 or whatever.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Well this member of the community is quite happy with Civ4 thank you very much. It is superior to Civ2 in every way.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

I fully understand why you like it Ozzy, as do many other beginners. You can sit there and say how dumbing down the game, punishing the aggressive player that expands and attacks, adds skill to the game, but the reality is that they did this to give people like you a chance. Game companies now cater to people of lesser intelligence because they don't feel they can deal with the supposed complexities of games that were more focused on gameplay. So go ahead and sit there and drool over you shoddy 3D graphics while you sit there building all 4 cities and agonizing over the strategic depth of whether or not you should build a road to your cattle.

Since I don't play MP, I couldn't care less what this game has done for MP. I find it more enjoybale than civ3, though the combat system is inferior in my view, and yes, I will buy BtS when it comes out.If you don't like reality, change it! me

Now, I'm not going to flame or comment on previous posts since I would get my *** kicked on MP and I am a mediocre, if avid civver, meaning I don't win higher than Prince. ATST, I normally try to win through more peaceful means, which the higher levels pretty much prevent.
I'll still buy it.

Could someone tell me why EoN is still regularly playing Civ4 after several months of decrying how generally crappy and terrible it is? I'm not a strategic genius (I'm TERRIBLE at Civ), but it seems to me he'd get better mileage switching over to StarCraft MP or some other game that emphasizes moving as quickly and aggressively as possible. He could even complain how the multi-tier ground units take all the strategy away once SC2 comes out.

He only plays when someone asks him for a duel in one of his flame threads.
