Now the thread will descend into a b*tchfest about Night's playing strength. I think EyesOfNight has poor intuition and is a maximist. This makes him make silly errors. Now, when he knows what he's doing he's ultra-super powerful. This is because of his high will to win, insane micro and knowledge of the game.

I think that EyesOfNight is much stronger then Krill. But it was no accident that his hatred of Krill and his maximism would make him make a n00b error. 3rd in the Glicko ratings proves that he is a strong Civ4 player. Period. I have not heard one good agrument against it. If he lost a 5-game match against Krill that would prove something.

His mistakes aren't new or unusual. He has shown the same failure to adapt in games against me and Krill in the past. He blames it on the game instead of taking the responsibility upon himself and adjusting his strategy.

I just won fairly easily by Civ4 standards. However, this last game just further underscored the massive advantage players who stay at home have. There's too many elements in the game that cater to the defensive player who doesn't expand or play aggressive. I won't even get started on the god damn combat system either.

Eyes just won one game against me, by using better tactics. Moving his capital and getting horse was a little on the lucky side, compared to me settling in place and having horse at 60% culture and copper on the other half of my side of the map. Impis ares screwed my over alot, but EoN used his traits and UU well and beat me fair and square.

Actually, I didn't really do anything I wouldn't have done in Civ2. Pretty damn simple really. It's just on a much slower and dumbed down scale. The fact that you could survive until the end of the game and even get catapults around the time that I did after I did that to you just goes to show how ****ed up the game is. Any other civ game would have been over easily with that kind of a lead.

Must admit it was a more challenging game than the one RAH hosted last weekend.
