Why don't you ask Pekka after he's done pleasuring Putin the way all Finnish people are trained to do? Super Traitor seems to fit him more than Super Citizen. Pekka = punk

          no, soup.

So im at the mall, and I see theres a restaurant that just sells soup. Not a bad idea, I think. Then I notice a sign saying something like "Rules: order clearly, have change ready, etc" I think, you know, that reminds me of something.

And damn, the name of proprietor of the chain, is Al Yageneh himself.

No mention of Seinfeld though, apparently theyre not on good terms.

Good to know the Soupnazi is milking it, though.

DD, about CIA, I guess we start to care about your opinion on these extra territorial issues involving spies and all kidns of stuff when you submit to international court and stop threatning to possibly go to Belgium or whatever and get 'our guys out'.

            No burgers for you!

What I'm saying is, we have no moral ivory tower on this issue, because we'd handle it the same way.

So you think that rending an alleged (and probably actual) terrorist over to a country where theyre wanted, with the winking authorization of the intell authorities of the country you take them out of, is the same thing as killing someone for talking trash about your country?

                Pakka is wrong here.

Ovbiously Russia wouldn't want to extradite its citizen, yet it could certainly try and please the british court and try the man in Russia.

Let's assume for a second that the dude is not a part of a KGB conspiracy (...right )

                He's either:

                1) guilty - and then reponsible for ruining russia's foreign relationship with the UK for no reason, and then Russia has in interest in punishing him

                2) not guilty - in which case russia would be interested in clearing his name.

However, working on the assumption that Litvinienko was not a KGB hit, Putin would have no way of knowning whether Luganov is innocent or not, and should be interested at least to find that out. (who is really causing Russia all this bad PR? )

Generally rejecting all UK inquiries is unreasonable and unprofitable.

I could never figure this one out.

Were the Italians making a big deal out of it because the CIA didn't give them the full story? Did the CIA make a mistake about the guy's identity? Or was it one part of the Italian government *****ing about the actions of another part of the Italian government? Or perhaps it was Italy trying to cover its posterior when the press got a hold of the story?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                    Not necessarily.

Litvenenko was a brit cit at the time of his murder. An investigation was carried out and the prosecution authority who are independant of the government said there is enough evidence to chrage an individual with the crime. Given those facts what else are the UK govt supposed to do-ignore it
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Wow, that's a bomb shell and a half. A tape where FSB guys are ordered to kill Putin's enemies? Damn... It seems like a smoking gun.

I wonder where this company gets their Polonium? According to the British they were able to trace the Polonium to Russia. What wasn't said was whether there were taggants in the poison allowing them to make this statement or if they're simply assuming the stuff came from a Russian reactor.
