Nope. They are inside b/c of tech.

I just found your list of the things you didn't do to be strange. Most people I know in my age group could check off most on that list - you got almost none. Very wierd.

drinking from garden hoses? I grew up in NYC, there simply werent all that many garden hoses around.

Hitchhiking? I was warned away from it, and took the warnings - maybe the US was a more violent society than Canada then, or I was more cautious. I did hitchhike in Israel, but that was a very different society.

What else did I say I didnt do?

We drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We played with worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
These are all because your parents busted their asses wiping out those diseases from the US you soft slackers.

Hey, I add a stick of memory to my daughters laptop. I am like so much the technology nerd!

Of course not, but didn't you guys get mono a lot more often?

No virtual kissing in those days

I have no idea what "pop" is, but good for you.

Its a code to let us know the other is from the midwest. Where like was even MORE idyllic than in the NYC of my youth, if thats even possible.

That would be one explanation for the higher rates of melanoma amongst your kind.

Yeah, well. QOTM is big on kids going outiside AND using sunblock.

And no one would realize you were missing until the next day, when you didn't get home.

                        LOL!

Besides, for the real friends we have and know from the real world, now we've got all sorts of ways to keep in touch that you never had

Actually thats not a bad thing. I think IM and email are good techs, generally. Of course they seem more needed cause kids live farther apart. Of course thats because of decisions about lifestyle made by boomer parents, for the most part.

You're pround of having contracted parasites?

Thats why lawyers are so important.

It's very hard to poke out eyes with a keyboard, so we've got no risk there. That's like saying you were playing with a grenade and never got blown up. Good for you, but.

Some parts of the world they still do that

Yeah, that's a bit rude. Now we IM, call, and email first.

It didnt used to be rude for kids, only for adults. Didnt used to rude for adults before the telephone. Its STILL not rude for adults on Saturdays in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods. Whats rude is a social construct.

And yet, you stand here, wringing your hands over how the world's become, scared of your own shadow and everything you've done in the world. Instead of taking responsibility, you decide to sue everyone else, blame concepts and ideas such as "terror", "video games", "angry music", and even fashion trends like, "goth".

                        Wait, didnt WE invent goth?

You run around, trying to make schools as safe as possible because it's you who can't deal with things like cyber-bullying, Columbine, and loud noises.

So, killing yourself on the playground, or getting shot by guys in trenchcoats? Decisions, decisions.

So, old people, get over yourselves.

                        Someday you'll ..............

You guys wear seatbelts cause WE stuck you in carseats since you were 3 days old (or 2 days old, for those with cheaper health insurance)

And WE played outside cause folks who were born in the 1920s had the sense to let us. No credit to us.

All this gen vs gen sh*t is pointless.
