Contrary to your claims, we do already have many objective tests available to study brain chemistry and activity already. There's even technology coming into play where (admittedly very crude) interfaces between the brain and computers are possible. How exactly would you go about finding that out? Nobody will ever learn a ****ing thing from these two wastes of organic matter. We don't have the technology to study them objectively (PET scans etc.) in any way meaningful to answering that question, and we can't go back in time and wire them up to see what misfired in their twisted little synapses when they planned and carried out the killing.

Actually, their actions in that regard would also be telling. As long as nobody has any delusions about "rehabilitating" them.
If somebody really thinks they can learn something useful from them, fine, study them. But remove them from society permanently (either by life in prison w/o parole or, if studying doesn't work out, end them). It's not about revenge, it's about making sure two sociopaths (hopefully I've used that right) never have the opportunity to kill again.
