I met someone like that, before he was caught. He killed a fellow soldier to find out whether he could kill. Then he killed a West German prostitute because he could. Technically he's not a serial killer, but that's only because he was caught after two murders.

He was a U.S. soldier stationed in W. Germany home visiting a mutual friend. I only learned about this when teh mutual friends was ordered to return to Germany and testify in the trial. Apparently the killer had told him about the killings, but teh MF though teh murder was just bull****ting him. Oops. He got in trouble for not reporting it to his superiors.Originally posted by Ecthy

The serial killer Jim Dugan drove past my home after his fist kill on his way to dump the body in a gravel pit. A friend of mine had dumped a car of his there, and Dugan hid the body in the car. My friend got called in for questioning.
I met someone who was killed by Jeffery Dahmer a few days later. My room mate worked for the boy's father.
In Jacksonville, one of the cab drivers we had drive us home (twice) was arrested for the murders of six prostitutes. Him I remember the most, not merely because it was only four years ago, but because of the way he looked at me, as if I was a bug he could squish.
