The poor man has a friend who steps in, he pays the lender the money required and helps the poor man get back on his feet so he can provide for his family. Justice has been served and mercy has also been extended.
This is how the Christians view their Savior: one who extends both justice and mercy. Christ will pay for the sins, and help the sinner become better. Justice and mercy are both served. However, Christ requires certain things from those he saves. It is not a "get out of jail free" card. He asks that the sinner repents (stops commiting the sin, feels sorry for it, repairs any wrongs, and betters himself) etc.In the beginning the Universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams

An issue I see with that anology is it appeals to something of higher moral value (his family) then what he is asking mercy from (bank regulations). What is more important then divine justice?APOSTOLNIK BEANIE BERET BICORNE BIRETTA BOATER BONNET BOWLER CAP CAPOTAIN CHADOR COIF CORONET CROWN DO-RAG FEDORA FEZ GALERO HAIRNET HAT HEADSCARF HELMET HENNIN HIJAB HOOD KABUTO KERCHIEF KOLPIK KUFI MITRE MORTARBOARD PERUKE PICKELHAUBE SKULLCAP SOMBRERO SHTREIMEL STAHLHELM STETSON TIARA TOQUE TOUPEE TRICORN TRILBY TURBAN VISOR WIG YARMULKE ZUCCHETTO

read Job
what is more important than divine justice? Why bother with this question? Justice will always be divine.
As far as christians are concerned, the only way to receive eternal salvation is through Christ. Man is born to sin, but not damned to hell. It is through Christ that we are forgiven, by God, for our sins, making Christ a just and merciful Lord.

Way to rock and fire, Japher.Japher nails it.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

That seems to me to be the right thing to do.Since it's only belivers of the christian supersticiousness that are sinners from birth, and since this has defined a loophole, it's of course their right to use it.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Oh I don't know about that. That kind of gives more credit than is due, don't you think?
Mediocre at best.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
