You always try to frame things as a fight for survival, even in contexts where it is clearly not the case
Minorities can survive without jobs that are a good as white males also. I'm not talking about surviving in absolute terms, but relative terms. Sure these people can go somewhere esle, they just can't live where they want to because they are not wanted there, just as without affirmative action many minorities can not work where they want to because they are different.

You seem to have a very difficult time seeing this.

Not at all-- I just don't see what it has to do with a bunch of spoiled middle class Danish kids that somehow think they are hard done by in the world since their free building was taken from them

I'm making an assumption. Do you think they are trying to convince them to come to church or something? What do you think, or do you just choose to act naive.

Well then I have to congratulate you for your historical perspective. After all Ungdomshuset was the building where Lenin and Rosa Luxembourg have spoken. It was also the place where the in 1910, The Second International held an International Women's conference, declaring 8 March as International Women's Day.

Since 1980ties it was used by anti-capitalist activists. So in regard to its historical significance to the whole world as well as its recent use it should not be surprising to see that lot of people see this as the enemy (capitalists) attacking their way of life and the welfare societies the people before them had built with their sweat and blood.

It matters not. The point is that the identity of the parties matters. Indeed, if the identity were different the outcome would be different.

                  SOMEONE ELSE owns the building

Its as simple as that as long as we live in a society with property. You might want to change that but in all our discussions, you still seemed to accept that people in kidland could own property ( they just couldn't rent or appropriate labour). If you can own property, you have to be able to use it as you see fit

You are falling back on this and not addressing the issue.

Again I say that if the parties had different identities the outcome would probably be different. Chew on that. I'll be back in a little while.

WHY? I bet if a church group had a building for free for years and then it was sold to a bunch of leftys, the church group would just pack up and leave so yes I guess the outcome would be different

I think the court result in favor of the owner of the building would be identical.

I do believe things would have transpired differently since perhaps the Fundies would pack up and move to another building if their building were sold. If they tried to make a stand we would have had visions of "whackos in their compound" and the police would have intervended and removed them. The leftists would yawn.

See thats the difference kid-- I think the result in a given fact situation should be the same even if you reverse the identity of the parties. I do accept the realities that that is not always the case but ehre the legal case seems pretty clear-cut

Just because some politicians have made speeches in a building, it isn't nessecaryly reason to keep it forever. It's just a plain old building that actually hasn't been treated nice for the last 20 years.

If we should start keeping buildings where royalties, politicians of any breed has visited, then we would soon be stuck with nothing but old museums.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I don't have all that historical perspective. I just saw no shock in the danish population having no real objection to there being a place like the Ungdomshuset.

I wouldn't fear a centre for alternative thought. I believe in free speech and democracy and believe in extending it regardless of whether I agree or oppose the particular message
