I've worked part time as a salesman before (last summer).

All I worked was the weekends (8:30-17:30 saturday, 10:30-16:30 Sunday) and 2 days of the week that varied (same hours as saturday). The full timers worked 3 days of the week (varies which, apart from the one day that is late evening which I never worked) and the complete weekend. Salespeople work pretty much the same hours as everyone else over here.

How is this different from any other strike?

I thought the whole purpose of a strike and the picket line was to prevent people from accessing the business while the workers are on strike.

As for prolifers, I'm not aware of when the last clinic was firebombed by prolife picketers, and I doubt arrian knows either. Sounds like an urban legend to me.

Abortion docs have been murdered and clinics attacked, but I cannot recall off the top of my head when/where. I'd have to go searching for the news stories.

Ultimately, yeah, this is like a strike. It's a stupid one, which was my objection. They can go ahead and strike (though the damage was uncalled for) and look like *******s

By all means. If the evidence is there I agree with you that it is completely unacceptable for people to engage in violence especially if they are prolife since they are saying that human life is sacred.

In this case, I can see the owners of the cars being upset about them being keyed, but it is quite different from firebombing the business.

I notice the owners are worried about the 'intimidation' of customers, but that happens all the time during strikes.

Um, I'm not trying to say more than what I said above (attacks have occurred, people have died, I don't know the specifics w/o searching for them).

Apparently it's a real problem for you to accept that isolated instances of violence vs abortion clinics/abortion doctors have occurred. It's not like anybody blamed it on you, Ben.

Seems pretty rare to me.

That's all I have to say about it. Any prolifer worth his salt won't do something so cowardly as to bomb a clinic.

Saying that Prolifers = clinic bombers really bothers them, and rightfully so. If you aren't responsible for the violence you get sick of being accused.
