    The purpose of free speech is to have free speech. Ideally, people would use it for something worthwhile, but the only way to ensure that people are free to say worthwhile things is to make them free to say ANYTHING AT ALL.

                      Well that's stupid. Preventing bigots and such from using racists language is different. If you prevent people from speaking out against the govt people will do it all the more and more people will listen. If you prevent bigots from speaking out then you just make a more civil society.
