It angers me when people don't realise exactly how great freedom of speech is, and want to ban speech simply because they disagree with it. Try living in a country that doesn't have freedom of speech, and I'm sure you'll quickly start to cherish the ability to speak your mind, even if what you say goes against what the society or government around you thinks is best

As long as you live in a society there's rules. Rules that are there to protect the individuals in the society. You can't do what you want, you can't say what you want. Otherwise it'd be total anarchy (and not the good kind of anarchy...). You're never totally free. Thus you can have free speech, but only within the parameters set up by society. If all of mankind were friendly and only wished each other well we could have truly free speech. But they aren't, so the freedom for some must be limited to ensure the freedom for others.

But you (and others) must agree that there is a difference by saying "I don't like gays" and "I don't like gays and they shouldn't be allowed to do this and that"? While I can agree that it his right to say the first thing I can't agree that it is his right to say the second.
