  • Oh, crapski. Texas A & M beat Texas 12 - 7.
    McCoy had 3 interceptions, and A & M had possession 35:58 - 24:02.

    (boo-hoo)

    • It's a shame what happened to Texas; they've probably lost a shot at the Big 12 and national title because McCoy got hurt...

        • I'm just glad we won't have to play him when he's a junior/senior. He's going to be a great one if he doesn't get hurt...

          • Watch Matthew Stafford at Georgia. I keep trying to tell Imran, but he doesn't listen.
Watched him play high school ball here in Dallas. He doesn't have the team around him that Colt is fortunate enough to have around him.

Both freshmen. Both destined for big things.

            • Stafford had one great game this season. Nothing to indicate that he should have played this year over the other QBs on the squad. Especially not over Tereshinski who has earned his chance (and has been better this season).

Colt, OTOH, was ready to play this year. Stafford wasn't (as his 5 TDs to 12 INTs shows us).

              • He started the year on the bench, and started later.
Why? You think maybe because his potential is better?

Besides, I'm saying more that that. I'm saying he and McCoy will both play in NFL.

                • When Tereshinki went down, the team was still undefeated. They had a shot at the SEC East crown. In that case, you tell Stafford to learn the offense while those who are more ready now play. After they were totally out it, then you can play Stafford all you wish... but you don't just throw him in to learn on the job until then. Stafford will undoubtably be better than Cox (the other frosh on UGA), but there were plenty of games this year that he wasn't.

An example of this silliness was the game against Vandy. Yes, they got beat down by Tennessee the week before, but Tereshinski was playing fairly decent (CBS Sportsline named him player of the game for UGA). However, Richt decided to put Stafford in for 18 pass attempts. And then the Florida game.

                  • I can't understand why everyone wants to see OSU-Mich again.

The first game wasn't as great as the score indicated.

                    ACK!

                    • Well, somewhere other than IN ohio state would probably be a close game ...

Are you going to tell me that, if Michigan had been able to either a) prevent the final OSU touchdown, or b) recover the onside kick, they wouldn't have had a decent chance to win the game? It's one thing to say a 40-30 game isn't as close as indicated, but when Michigan could easily have won the game at the end ... that's not correct

Let's say Michigan wins. We want to make it a best of 7 series?

                        • USC- Was upset by a non-ranked program
Florida- Was upset by the #12 team
Michigan- Was defeated by the #1 team (as was expected)
Wisconsin- Was defeated by the #2 team (as was expected)

This season, Michigan has NEVER been upset. You can't say that for anybody else in the NC outlook.

                          • I think it's more relevant to look at total strength of schedule versus wether a loss was to a weak or strong team. Zeroing in on this ignores all the wins.

this is in fact my problem with a rematch. even if michigan wins we are back to square one.
