Of all the ****bags I would hope Allen in Virginia wouldn't win. That would just mean the Republican voter supression efforts had been successful since Allen has been the worst offender.

Latest Senate results are 49 Republicans, 47 Democrats, 2 independents, and 2 races still to close to call. Allen leading in Virginia so voter supression may have worked.

All in all this is a good night for Democrats even with the dirty tricks and voter supression efforts of the Republicans. Especially when you consider that 40 Republican seats in the Senate weren't even up for election this year. That virtually assured Republicans of not losing control. There is still a possibility of Democrats gaining control of the Senate but it is a very long shot.
