Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead

BTW, isn't anyone else at least slightly worried that the hurricane season seems to have started a month earlier this year...?

But yes I am certainly concerned
We own a home, our son and daughter in law with our two grandbabies live 1 mile from here and our daughter lives in Wilmington Beach area as well my profession is in this region, so yes it is a concern
But eac h territory has its own unique situations to deal with, we wont live in fear but trust all will be well.
I am concerned yes

from Accuweather
"Well ladies and gentlemen, we have our first named storm of the hurricane season. Interesting because... it's not yet hurricane season... and it's not a tropical storm! It is a sub-tropical storm, and its name is Andrea. As of this writing, it is about 150 miles east of Jacksonville, Fla., with peak winds of about 45 miles per hour.
Back in the old days... and I'm only talking 5 years or so ago... we did not name sub-tropical storms. Names were only given to storms that were deemed to be truly tropical. In the last few years, there have been a number of sub-tropical storms named. Those named storms go into the total of named storms and obviously increase the number of storms that year and consequently increase the average number of storms per year."

* witness the plethora of papers released offering up explanations following the 2005 Atlantic season, and the dearth last year.
And with the standards of science journalism/ts reaching new lows, expect more doom and gloom.www.my-piano.blogspot

The big news in the tropics is not Andrea. The big news is that we continue to set a thirty-five year record for the longest time the world has been without a tropical storm.
We have now gone thirty-four days without a tropical storm anywhere on the globe, and there is nothing brewing in the immediate future. The old record was thirty-one days. It is remarkably quiet in the tropics.www.my-piano.blogspot

You really are a piece of work how you totally ignore the facts presented before you that completely and utterly shoot down your argument...
You asked where the hurricanes went last year - the answer is El Nino.
Then you claimed El Nino didn't even happen when I showed you the facts that it did by... By posting predictions before it occurred saying it wouldn't happen!!!
Wait, I'm sure I can find an article predicting that Man U will beat Milan in the second leg of the Champions League Semi Final - even though we all know that they lost 3-0...
Something from your beloved NOAA site...
