Poly is such a great place when trying to look for some support. You might as well place stitches in your scrotum
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

We gave great support for the first half dozen or so suicide claims but now it is an old hat. Either he gets the medical help he needs or he doesn't but we're not helping him by entertaining his look at me threads. I, for one, do not want to play that game.
Yeah, Thorn has had a lot of these threads during the years. But I tried to help him to answer to his own questions in my first reply.

How can someone be depressed at 22 anyway. Nothing that drugs and sex can´t help. And maybe a group of gay germans.

That's like asking how someone can have a heart attck at 22. It's a ****ing disease. You get it when you get it, and it ****s with your brain and makes if very difficult for you to get help. On top of that, you have all these dumbasses who ask what the hell's wrong with you, or just buck up, or don't even consider anything wrong with you and that you're just a little whiner.
I doubt anyone would be so harsh to someone who had recurring bouts of cancer.
Yeah I'm looking at all of you.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
Well, it would be sort of annoying if someone kept asking you for medical advice and never took it, just kept on asking and getting the same advice over and over again, wouldn't it?
Don't get me wrong, I do feel sorry for Thorn, but we can't make him improve his life by advice over the internet. He's going to have to summon up the initiative himself, or meet someone strong/caring enough to prod him into it.
In any case, we can't really help him much since depression isn't just an idea but a reflection of life sistuations and expectations. People on the other end of the interweb can not fill the emptiness as we are just text when it comes down to it.

A lot of people don't want to accept that there are mental disease. They think they're either moral failings or lack of character, not diseases.

OTOH, it's a problematic solution not to take any responsibility of what is happening within your own mind and just wallow in pity over that your brain structure makes your life miserable and there's no way you can do anything about it through your own action. I think depression often arises as a result of one's real or imagined inability to conform to the ideals prevalent in modern society, and is connected with thoughts that express envy and general misanthropia.
