      Did it ever work?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Clearly, you've fallen into a sarchasm.

Then again, your people are also ethnically frigid. Maybe if you were rogered but good once in a while... Listen to this, maybe it'll loosen you up.

Can't let this one slide. We did pull out our citizens, thousands of them, for free -- back when we evacuated the country a few months ago. But that's the point: we EVACUATED. Anyone boneheaded enough to now go in, on their own dime, is getting out on their own dime, too.

And for what it's worth, that language and policy has nothing to do with Lebanon; it's State dept boiler-plate, and applies equally to someone who's had their purse snatched in Buenos Aires, lost all their money at the bacarat table in Monaco, or left behind all their worldly possessions fleeing the eruption of a Philippine volcano. Sucks for them, but if they found a way to get abroad to begin with, they can find a way to pay back Uncle Sam.

Rufus, you realize this thread was two months old right, and at the time the State Dept. was telling people they were going to charge them before the outcry forced them to backdown.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

The thread is still black dotted even with (minor) trollish comments redacted. Ming that mercillesss.b

No -- apparently, I'm an idiot.

That's what I get before getting my priorities wrong, and reading 'Poly before my first cup of coffee.
