Yes, they, unlike those fools in the Mossad knew perfectly well that Hizbollah was going to kidnap Israelis just then, and they also knew that Israel would respond with a blockade of the whole country. If the Israeli response were proportional to the original act that triggered it, or if had remained focused on non-civilian targets, then there wouldn't be this problem, and foreigners would be calmly leaving on commercial jets.

Well, I'll say it then.

You are fully unable to understand that Lebanon can actually be a country, that some people can love, either because it's their place or origin, or simply because they find it to be a great place.

I can see only one reason as to why your "sympathy is not for people who choose to spend their summer holiday in Lebanon, in view of what happened to [the Danish] consulate and aid workers there earlier this year". It is that you can't see Lebanon as anything but this.

If you could see that Lebanon is a place where people live, where people love, where people can have joy just as sadness, etc., you wouldn't be so judgemental about those people who did go there, despite the one week of tension between Lebanon and Denmark last year (the main crisis was fueled by other countries, remember?)
