Yeah... doable, but it is going to be tough. The Cards have gone into a big tail spin, and have sucked of late.
With the exception of two complete games by Carpenter in his last two outings, the starting pitchers have sucked... and they have tons of injuries. They are limping along, and could be caught.

Looks like it got one game easier for the Astros tonight. After tonight they should be 2.5 games back with 6 to go for them and 7 to go for St. Louis.

Yeah....Astros showed they could come back in late innings while the Cards blew it late in the game.

Prior to tonight, I'd have wondered if the White Sox might not have a better chance at the playoffs than the 'Stros... They just needed a sweep of the indians, a sweep of the twins, and the twins to go 1-2 against the Royals...

It'll be the Cards this year, though they'll fall in the first round IMO to the west-coast team they end up playing. Unless the Phillies get the WC, in which case they'll lose to the Mets.

White Sox made a run, but they couldn't get the same great starting pitching they had last year. It feels really nice, though, to have both the Oakland A's (they'll be in) and Minnesota Twins both in the playoffs.
