    I can't say I'm upset that Ozzie & Co. will miss the playoffs.

    The Twins are a great story. I will root for them right up until the playoffs. Then it's death to the Twinkies, because they scare me.

        Hrm, ok, this is true. I like roaring comebacks (Go Houston!), and the Tiggers have been in 1st place all year. But yes, the Tigers have sucked horribly for a long time, so they're the better story.

            That's part of their horrible suckage. That was, in fact, rock bottom. Not even the Royals are that bad.

                          Why would I be hiding from this thread? I said it would be hard, not impossible!

                          Sorry for "discussing the posters" again, but you really need to get off your persecution complex... or see help for it... I mean, jeez, if someone isn't 100% for your point of you, you see them as being against you (W. Bush complex?) .

                                Good for the 'stros. I'm rootin' for them. No need to make **** up, Apoc.

                                Nice win for the Yanks last night, with both DJ and Cano getting 2 hits apiece. Neither of them is likely to catch Mauer, but it's possible. Basically Mauer has to go ice cold and the other two need to keep getting 2 or more hits a game. The way Mauer's been swinging lately, I don't see it happening.
