Also, doesn't matter if Japan's doing it for defensive reasons only--a remilitarized Japan will just make for a more militarized East Asia.B♭3Comment

(Personally I think, Japan does need to beef up its defensive capabilities, but I'm terribly wary of a potential rise of militarism again. That said, even though they ought to arm themselves, I cannot forsee a situation where that wouldn't cause an arms race in East Asia.
