All 3 red cards were correct. De Rossi deserves to be kicked out of the World Cup, but those 2 American guys as well, as they tried to break a leg. BTW count the overall fouls committed by both teams, US is the only team on double digits.

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

I did notice the US committed a lot of fouls. I actually missed the USA's second send-off. I thought the first a bit harsh (yellow card, IMO, but I'm not exactly an expert on such things).

On the first, Mastroenni committed a foul while digging on the PLAYER (not on the ball) and from the BACK (Pirlo couldn't defend from someone coming from behind)I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. I think you're just trying to downplay the attrocious behavior of De Rossi by slandering the US players.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

That's not true, in Italy everybody asked Coach Lippi to kick DeRossi out of the team and send him back from the day after the match. He committed a mistake and the red card was damn right, period. But this doesn't justify the attitude of most of the players of the US team, every minute there was someone pushing, kicking and trying to get on the nerves. The match became horrible from the first goal, then the stupid referee noticed that he was giving yellow cards for no apparent reason (Totti is a clear example) and he actually stopped doing his job, the last 20 minutes of the match were kickboxing, NOT SOCCERI will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. As for the American fouls... when the Italians are flopping around after being brushed, there will be a bunch of fouls. The ref just eats up the acting job. The only way to counter it is to make the Italians earn their fouls. That means actually hitting them hard when they fall, so they don't get a cheap foul by diving.
And besides, the US plays an English style of more physical football. If you think the US was rough, you fellows would never survive in CONCACAF!“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

You can laugh all you want, but you'd be whining about the hard play all damned day. CONCACAF refs call a MUCH looser game than these World Cup ones. The US is one of the least rough & tumble teams in the region. You'd score 3 goals and lose 3 players in the same match.
