But the referee has to have some feeling for the game and not take every potential yellow, especially not when it means a second red for a team.
You are blaming the ref for the stupidity of Pope? Come on, if you already have a yellow card then you don't pull stunts like that. I guess the Americans have yet a lot to learn.
All your American whining about the referee is pathetic, you have your own players to blame.
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
Once again...
Ah yes, the anti-Americans are here... of course if it was a Netherlands player who got a second yellow for a garden variety foul (if that), Hueij would be screaming bloody murder.

Jeez, they've got to replace Donovan, he's just too slow. It looked like he was waddling a minute ago (and thats no reference to Dave Waddell). Beasley may suck but at least he's fast and can help on defense.

Don't blame American stupidity, i already mentioned that i figured Pope would be Red Carded.
And I'm new at this.
ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

If you have a yellow the last thing you need to do is go in for a sliding challenge in an area of the pitch that is not immediately dangerous. Best defending is done when you're stood up anyway, Ghana suffered from the diving in as well earlier.

No I wouldn't. And when it comes to football I am not anti-American. I would say the same thing if for instance Locutus would make the same remarks during a Holland game (not that he would, he knows more about the game then all of you combined )
But I know... when you call American bull**** by it's name you are anti-American

Bull****, Hueij... bull****. There is no way you blame a Dutch player for hardly even fouling a player getting a second yellow from a payed off ref.

Yikes... how many cards have there been so far? I don't agree with the yellow on Zambrotta there... that's BS as well.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
