Yep, we need to allow wheat farmers the opportunity to sell their wheat to more then one buyer. It does them no good to have a single price dictated by the government.Because during the depression you were correct. There was a lack of information and buyers were taking advantage of prairie farmers not having anywhere near enough local markets to depend on. You see, prairie grain has been a staple export of this country since the railroads were put in. It was much too important to allow to run into the ground.
So, what we have now is a state monopoly on a major part of our economy(s) that is based on the conditions of a world wide depression before most of the people growing the stuff had a telephone within 30 miles of home.
The downside to this is that there are no guarantees that the price will be what you want to sell your wheat.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
