I suppose I didn't understand what you meant by "swinging lifestyle" and thought you meant gays. Please define the term, then.
But, but... I thought being gay was a CHOICE, Ben? Having a family history of a health condition is about your genetic makeup. Are you contending that gays are genetically predisposed to have drug/alcohol problems? Because if you are, you've accepted that it's not a choice.
For example, if you have someone predisposed to alcoholism in a mormon family, they may never become aware of their predisposition. They have to first be exposed to alcohol.
As for the desires of gay people, I think that they really are born with these desires, but they still have the choice whether or not to act on them. That's the difference. The gay people here seem to claim that because they are gay they have no choice but to act on their desires, but that's no different from an alcoholic saying he does not choose to drink.
