With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Ehrr, isn't that the usual swedish method just taken a step further ? If you are confused, then I'm thinking of the lid that are put over immigration debate.

Physical censorship by the government against the official organ of an opposition party is NOT the usual Swedish method. The usual method in this topic would be a total Godwinisation of the debate, not censorship.

As I said - standard procedure taken a step further. It was mentioned in the danish news and I'm glad that swedish politicians and journalists are getting angry - maybe there still are hope for you .

              • Yeah it's easy do just say "it's an extremist party of loonies" in regards to the SD-kuriren shutdown. But bear in mind that is is a party that got 76.300 votes in the last election, not necglectable in a country of this size at all. Whatever you think of their policies the fact is that the government has tried to hinder their free press rights in a situation where they surely saw a chance to gain points among the public. This with an election coming up not very far away. It stinks.

The elections are this year Pekka. And if you mean Sverigedemokraterna, yes they would do it. If you mean the government, probably yes as well. But I think they may have made a mistake, since if the press pick up strongly enough on this and criticize Socialdemokraterna enough. Then Sverigedemokraterna might get a boost to get them above 4% and into the parliament, that could very well spell the end of the left ruling the country and a right coalition getting a majority. But this is a bit unlikely I will admit.

                        • Even if I'm a right-winger, I would really hate a situation where a government led by the Moderate party would have to depend on SD to get the parliament majority. That would totally suck.

I'd rather have the Social Democrats depending on the commies then, as the situation is today. Then at least you can blame them on thing that go wrong

                          • Well, Chemical Olle. It wouldn't be the first time a wacky party got to much influence for its own good. I'm talking about the greens now. But people have accepted that this **** stain of a party has gotten way to big for its boots in the government process.

                            • Talking about small party influence - we have for decades suffered under the boot of the Radikale Venstre, but at the moment they for five years have been powerless and they are in deep agony
