It's not a mugging -- in fact, I'm not going to trade Huet anymore. If I got rid of him I'd surely have lost the 3 goaltender stats this week, and Kariya is just a tiny part of the offensive production.

A single good goaltender is more valuable than a single great player. I don't think a lot of you realize that.

The commish should be protecting the game for all the players, not trying to take advantage of anyone.

You have this nice guy attitude, but it's times like this you show your true colors -- you think you know better than others at this game. You've disagreed with virtually every trade I've made (actually, your pompous comments about voting against the trade I made with Joseph/Lecavalier are one of the things that made me think the voting thing is stupid).

Not everybody has the same strategy and opinion as you do. What you think is stupid may just be a brilliant strategy.

You are not the God of this game, you got lucky with a couple surprise geriatric performers at the start of the season, and you've been losing your lead ever since.

My goal as the commish is to run the league, not to play protector for people you consider too stupid to make their own trades, like you think for myself and Boo. Why don't you focus running your own team instead of telling others how to run theirs.

How do you know Buffalo and Atlanta won't pile up 12 goals against Montreal in the next 2 games, assuming Huet continues to play?

Being able to find surprise top-notch performers is kind of the point of fantasy sports, Asher.

It was a tossup this year in the NHL, it's luck more than anything else.

A year of no play, a whole slew of new promising rookies, and new rules and questionable reffing that has substantial impact on the game.

nye got lucky, and others got unlucky. Who would've predicted Khabibulin would be such a terrible, terrible goalie in the first half of the season? No one...

I take it in monopoly you let everybody share all of the valuable properties instead of taking advantage when you can? Do you play an honest poker game, too?

The fact is we make trades to better our team. If the other person accepts, it should mean they think their team will get better. Boo was wrong to have just given me a good player because he thought he was done for.

I made a trade starting high -- as you do when you're negotiating. To my surprise, he bought it. I was going to settle for less.

This whole charade of you and joncha painting me as some evil villain while you two are saintly players is really nausiating. Particularly because you're both so shameless in your stretching of the truth and ignoring of past events. This is what I was talking about a long time ago in the "polite" thread -- you're an ass, but you're too polite to let people know that.

Goalies, especially for Montreal, are a far bigger crap shoot than point a game skaters.

That's what's so shameless about your attempted mugging of Boo. Well, not that, the fact that you will argue til next Tuesday that you were doing him a favour by picking up a goalie that he should have had for free and immediately offering him in a trade for a very good skater is more shameless. That's balls!

I decided to join a league after this one had already begun. I passed up Khabibulin for Vokoun, because I thought any moron could see that Vokoun (and Nashville in general) had more upside. I guess I was wrong.
