Isn't it ironic that the Bloc supporting Tories in decentralisation could be good for Canada?

This doesn't look as stable as you guys seem to think. Cons need either Libs or Bloc to pass legislation. NDP won't do it as it stands now. Depending on how things shake down in the almost inevitable seat or two that will change by tomorrow that Ind guy could be pretty important.

Yes, it's a little bit ironic. But many people who work for the Bloc worked with the conservative before Lucien Bouchard splitted with the tories and founded the Bloc Québecois.
If my memory are right, Quebec voted for tories before the Bloc was created.bleh

They have to wear the mask of cooperation, while seeking their greater aims.(\__/)

One of the main purpose of any political party aside from taking power. Is to maintain his power...
If the Bloc are not able to help defending the Quebec interest, people will not vote for them, they know it. If you talk to french quebecers, you'll see, that if they feel the bloc are not able to do constructive thing at Ottawa, they will not vote for them.
In the past years, they was able to vote on Quebec interest with the help of tories or libs.

The Bloc bled a lot to the Tories.
On one hand, if federalism works it encourages further bleeding to the Tories and Liberals. On the other, if he is uncooperative in the face of reasonable policies for Quebec it encourages further bleeding to the Tories and Liberals.
Less Liberal, and more Tory for a few years, I suspect.(\__/)
