Thats pretty much my take as well-- nobody really wants another election soon-- Most of the opposition would fear that the Cons could gain even more seats if it were perceived by the electorate that they were given no chance to govern at all-- plus the breakthrough in Quebec gives them some credibility and a base to make a concerted assault there

Likely yup-- Unless something strange happens, its seems senseless to go back to the polls very soon-- If Harper does something controversial, the House may push the issue but I think simple pragmatism will mean they will allow the House to run for a while
