Each case is different. Each case has evidence and each case is handled by the system based upon the merits of that evidence. RACE DOES NOT PLAY INTO IT.

well, you would also have to assume that either the jury members were racist or so stupid that they didn't realize the racism of the actors, and that the defense counsel just sucked at voir dire.

Many studies claim geographic differentiation.

From what I've seen, I think it's true.


Anyone who has ever lived in Louisiana, for example and tries to claim there is NOT widespread institutional racism there is LYING through their teeth. Or at least naive. Of course there are great people in Louisiana but the amount of racism there against blacks is the highest I have seen anywhere.

Therefore you cannot divide by the number of black people.

We already covered this a few pages back.

What you say is true, HOWEVER, once blacks are in the system the prosecutors are more likley to seek the death penalty against them.

This means if you picked up 100 blacks and 100 white for the same crime, 60 of the blacks will be have capital punishment against them while only 40 of the white will. (I just made up the 60 and 40 numbers up for illustrative purposes but the actual numbers are back a few pages).
