        Calgary is a two man team. Take them away and you'd be lucky to win a game in junior.

        The Oil are 18 guys all over you. They'll play you any way you want, but let them skate and they'll kill you.

            Iginla's been in a slump this year, and we win 75% of the games without Kipper.

            Calgary is a tight, teamwork based team. The result of good coaching and smart players.

            Edmonton has neither, which is why they're below Calgary.

              Vancouver with a Kipper would be very scarey.

              Any team with a Kipper is a concern, but one that can skate and score, rather than just defend for 58 minutes, would be... well... like Ottawa.

                You can't be serious?

                I don't know any team that would turn down Regehr or Phaneuf. They're both incredible D-men, most people around the league know that.

                  The Bwahahaha was for a rookie and an also played being better than Pronger.

                  And Bergeron.

                  That kid is gonna kill ya in the future, if he hasn't already.

                  The greatest thing about watching the Oil this year is thinking we might actually keep these kids. If we do, they're gonna break some hearts.

                    He's small for a defenseman, Bergeron isn't anything special.

                    Phaneuf > Bergeron.

                    I'd also take Regehr over Pronger, Regehr is a better DEFENSEman. One of the best, a lot of people don't get it because they don't see enough of him and his play doesn't register in stats. One of the reasons Kipper plays so well in Calgary is the better shot opportunities never develop as often as other teams, because of smart plays from defensemen like Regehr. Check out Calgary's stats from when he was injured to when he came back, it's night and day.

                    Gretsky noted it, which is why he's on Team Canada.

                      With Kipper Calgary is a massive two points ahead of the Oil. Take him away and you'd be plumbing the depths with Colombus.

                      Come and talk when you have a team that isn't riding the back of one or two guys.

                          And the people who think it's a 1 or 2 man team don't follow hockey close enough. Kipper enough isn't the only one, he was with Calgary in the beginning of the season when we sucked. Regehr wasn't, and as SOON as we came back, we caught fire.

                          Pay more attention to Regehr -- he makes everyone else look good.

                            The Oil's goalie situation is terrible because:
                            1) MacTavish is a terrible coach that f*cks with goaltender's mental toughness in the wrong way
                            2) Edmonton has crap goalie coaches
                            3) They play musical chairs, not giving goalies the comfort of familiarity with their team

                            Calgary's goalies are BOTH good because #1 and #2 are taken care of. Kipper was nothing before he played in Calgary, and there are reasons for that.

                                pfft. So does Hemsky, and Pronger, and, well, the rest of the team. They skate, they score, they win, together. They aren't waiting for some good luck charm to come along. They fall flat on their faces, they dig, and they turn it around. That's a team.

                                Having a great goalie and waiting for all the defence to be healthy, sounds like an early playoff exit waiting to happen.
