The SCC is much less often closely divided than is the SCOTUS, so the individual personalities of the judges often matter less.
Part of that is having a much more recently-written Constitution, so it's much more specific on issues that arise today than is the US Constitution (where the logic for deriving decisions based on the texts is by needs tortuous at best)
