  • NO GOOD!

    Overtime in LSU v. Auburn!

Meanwhile, the Sooners go up by 7 in the 2nd OT against Baylor...

          • HAHAHA!!

Well, on the other hand, Auburn sure looked good tonight, and haven't been half bad this season since they lost to GTech on opening weekend.

Too bad. I was rooting for the apocalypse.

                    Dropped: Texas Tech

I was this close to flipping Georgia & Notre Dame when I heard about the Shockley injury, but since it sounds like it's only going to be for one game, I'll let what happens against Florida next week dictate my treatment of the Bulldogs. (I think the Gators will win, by the way, and I thought that before the injury as well.)

                    • The injury played a role in their drop in my ballot, but only insofar that their second string QB was so bad that he barely managed a victory over a mediocre (at best) Arkansas team (that was for you, Drake).

I'm expecting them to get beat badly next week.

                        • Hey guys, I just wanted to point out one thing:

                          Wisconsin won.

                          Again.

Ok, that was kinda two things, but oh well.

In two weeks they play Penn State. The following week is Iowa. If they win those two, the Big Ten is theirs.

                          On Wisconsin!!!

                          • Yeah, Wisconsin has become the forgotten team in the Big Ten. If we ranked our top 11, they would be on my ballot.

Moved UCLA up to 4. They looked darn good. While Ga. and Bama had tougher then expected games. Ga. should have killed my beloved Hogs (even with the 2nd string QB). I revise my comment about Texas facing a tough school in the Big XII. There ain't one, so Texas probably will coast into the BCS championship game.

                              • Some of the unbeatens put up weak performances. Alabama puts up 6 points for the win. Virginia Tech struggles against Maryland. Georgia barely over Arkansas. I'm surprised that none of them lost besides Texas Tech.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
