no... some of us have developed brains, which allow us to experience consciousness, and for some of us, allow us to think critically and question 2000 year old myths that were drilled into our head... which set us apart from other living things...

as far as marijuana is concerned, the only adverse effects as it pertains to the brain is in the case of memory... and the effect is not permanent... even in cases where life-long pot smokers were tested.
this according to my neuro-psychiatrist...
one of the 5 or 10 smartest people in the country when it comes to brain function
who, in my case, recommends marijuana (unofficially) because it regulates activity in a part of my brain that is overactive... it's a form of epilepsy (I don't have seizures though)
but alcohol does kill brain cells... fortunately, I don't drink. To us, it is the BEAST.

So, if brain development is what makes us a person, should someone with greater development be considered more of one?
in terms of value of life?
IMO, if you are born (or in the case of fetus, if the mother intends to give birth) then it is what I consider to be a human life...
obviously, I don't think the value of an adult's life is more than a child's...
but in terms of how I would quantify someone's level of consciousness... certainly adults are more developed, and they are able to achieve a higher level of consciousness than a child. In simpler terms... children are stupid. To us, it is the BEAST.

You tell me, Ben. That's your position isn't it?
What I would say, is that a embryo is a human person, just like any other person because they have the intrinsic capacity to function as a person. It's like a bucket. It doesn't need to have water already inside to be able to hold water.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

I am really starting to like Chavez, mainly because he doesn't take any crap from Bush.
Chavez is a threat to nobody and I want someone on here to have the balls to tell me exactly what kind of threat he. Nobody can do it.
I thought it was cool that he offered to help poor Americans with cheap gasoline. I doubt he could do it but it sounded good.
Back to Robertson, he reflects the views of the majority base that supports the neocons.
Have people not had enough of these idiots already???
What else do they need to say?We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution. - Abraham Lincoln

You got to love FoxNews...
I flipped to it today on my way up the dial and they had a segment that caught my attention.
HIGH GAS PRICES FUELING TERROR
it was a segment about how oil from the mideast funds terrorism... I thought, "wow I'd expect this from a left-wing FoxNews"
but then, at the bottom, they had some "facts" and I saw something interesting...
for every $1 increase in oil prices, Venezuela makes $1 billion a year
ahhh yes, those sneaky Fox News people... in a segment about oil and terrorism, they mention VENEZUELA!!!
HUGO CHAVEZ!!! BIN LADENS BOOSOM BUDDY!To us, it is the BEAST.
