marijuana does not kill brain cells...

the chemicals released into the blood stream affect the cannabinoid receptors in the brain causing the "high"

as far as marijuana is concerned, the only adverse effects as it pertains to the brain is in the case of memory... and the effect is not permanent... even in cases where life-long pot smokers were tested.

this according to my neuro-psychiatrist...

one of the 5 or 10 smartest people in the country when it comes to brain function

who, in my case, recommends marijuana (unofficially) because it regulates activity in a part of my brain that is overactive... it's a form of epilepsy (I don't have seizures though)


but alcohol does kill brain cells... fortunately, I don't drink.

yes and no...

in terms of value of life?

IMO, if you are born (or in the case of fetus, if the mother intends to give birth) then it is what I consider to be a human life...

obviously, I don't think the value of an adult's life is more than a child's...

but in terms of how I would quantify someone's level of consciousness... certainly adults are more developed, and they are able to achieve a higher level of consciousness than a child. In simpler terms... children are stupid.

What I would say, is that a embryo is a human person, just like any other person because they have the intrinsic capacity to function as a person. It's like a bucket. It doesn't need to have water already inside to be able to hold water.

Chavez is a threat to nobody and I want someone on here to have the balls to tell me exactly what kind of threat he. Nobody can do it.
